Westmoreland Fire Dept. would like to welcome our newest RAM member, Logan Strebing. His grandfather, Gene, joined in 1976 and is a life member. His father, Brad, has been a volunteer in our department for 25 years.
Westmoreland Fire Dept. responded to a report of a structure fire on Thanksgiving, November 22nd, 2018 at 1500 hours. Units arrived on scene to find a 1 story structure with a fully involved attached garage.

On Wednesday May 23rd, the Westmoreland Fire Department responded to a well-involved truck fire on the NYS Thruway in the Eastbound lane, near the Oneida Service Center. WFD was able to contain the fire to the truck and prevent it from spreading to the vehicles on the trailer.
Today, May 24th, 2018, The Westmoreland Fire Department took the delivery of a 2018 Rosenbauer Commander Engine. This engine will replace a 1995 Freightliner Engine #5. Thank you to Garrison Fire Equipment!

This evening Westmoreland Fire hosted a NYS DOH Clandestine and Biological Hazards Class at Westmoreland High School. We had more than 80 firefighters attend and 12 different fire departments were represented, as well as COCVAC; thank you all for attending.
